Holiday Season is just right around the corner, and for us seafarers it is the most exciting and challenging time of the year. Exciting because, we get topicture30 celebrate it outside the country, work overseas, learn on our assigned vessels, develop our careers as modern merchant mariners, celebrate with  our co-workers and explore new places and cultures on how they celebrate this occasion. Challenging, on the other hand because we cannot spend it with our family, our source of inspiration and the one that motivates us to aspire our goals, and we will also miss

the atmosphere of the Christmas break on our homeland as well, but we all know deeply that we are given a chance here on board to be able to provide for our loved ones. Career and work are really important factors, in this trying time that has brought to us by the pandemic. We continue to hope and pray as everything changes for the new normal, we also change for the better and HEAL as ONE MOL Family.

“As Christmas and New Year is just around the corner, we make ourselves busy with the preparations for the upcoming holidays. As we light that star in the Christmas tree, as we open each gift that we receive, and enjoy ourselves with the festivities, let us not forget the true essence of Christmas – that it is a celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. May we spread kindness, generosity, and love not only during Christmas but always.

To our dear families and loved ones, friends, fellow MOL seafarers, MMSM and MMM employees and staff,  we  wish  you  a  Merry  Christmas  and  a Prosperous New Year!”

“Merry Christmas and Happy New Year” Ahoy, there!!! Sailors of the WORLD …

Christmas is fast-approaching and the spirit of giving gifts has been present in the mind of each Christian to commemorate the Christmas season, our Heavenly Father gave to us His Son Jesus. That precious son gave to us His life, the Atonement, and victory over the grave.

Christmas for seafarers has always been a very difficult time ever since, away from their loved ones, and especially now that we are having difficulties in a lot of aspects due to the pandemic that we are facing. Much more difficult and challenging for those who have a wife and children back home. Unlike for most who can celebrate and spend time with their loved ones during Christmas and New Year. For us seafarers it is often business as usual, normal working days with the same routine, especially when we are in port for cargo operations and during navigation as well, in ensuring safety of the vessel, crew, cargo and environment. But there is nothing we can do; it is a call of duty and our chosen profession to deal with.

At this moment, many are laughing just half-heartedly due to the pandemic effect as crew change is impossible, but deep inside they long to be home for Christmas and to share it with family back home is still the best.

Despite all that, let us in our lives give to our Lord and Savior the gift of gratitude by living His teachings and following in His footsteps. It was said of Him that He went about doing good. “As we do likewise, the Christmas spirit will be ours.”

But still we ignited Christmas spirit onboard even though far away from home with colorful Christmas decors and lovely carols, prepared sumptuous foods, sharing gifts and wines to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, our savior and redeemer.

From MV Centaurus Dream Family, we wishes everyone whether at sea, ashore, or working at home, the very best Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for you and your family, may this season bring abundant joy and happiness in our life. Above, beyond and together. We are One MOL!!!

“Life is like the Waves will try to knock you down and push back to where you started but once you fight through them, the entire ocean is yours.”

Dyna Crane

This Christmas season gave us a lot to picture18ponder, giving ‘ us a clear message that we should live and unite with great peace with each other. As the whole world is ravage by this pandemic, We pray to God to keep you safe for this season wouldn’t be complete, if we aren’t here to celebrate.

Christmas is a piece of one’s home that one carries in one’s heart. We light candles in testament that faith makes miracle possible. Christmas will always be, as long as we stand heart to heart and hand in hand. We count down the days just to experience it, exactly as we always have. It is comfortable, familiar and perfectly nostalgic that, frankly, we have no desire to improve upon it at all. We should learn the true Christmas lesson, to be gentle, thoughtful and be kind to those we owe and to all we meet in life’s busy ways. The holiday season is a perfect time to reflect on our blessings and seek ways to make lives better for those around us. It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.

Wishing all MMSM employees, seafarers and their loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!!!

Energy Glory

Another great and wonderful year celebrating the birth of Jesus amidst the pandemic. A Challenging year for us Officers and Engineers giving our best for Safe operation of the vessel. We steer the right course and point the ship into the right direction. We keep her engine and machineries running and seaworthy ensuring that Energy Glory is loved and healthy. We are the lighthouse of the vessel guiding and teaching the young and aspiring Officers and Engineers by challenging them to become great and responsible leaders. Being an Officer and an Engineer is a difficult job that entails great responsibility and determination. A good Leader weathers the storm he cannot avoid and avoids the storm he cannot weather. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Energy Glory!

A good year to celebrate an amazing and challenging year for us support crew. Supporting and following our Officers and Engineers is our memento to make our beloved Mother Energy Glory well maintained, clean and in good condition. A great support crew is a good listener, responsible and disciplined. We give our 101% support and best performance to our Officers and Engineers. We are the anchors of the vessel. We hold Energy Glory to a safe place, keeping her adrift from danger. The best anchor is dependable and strong that we can guarantee to give to our Officers and Engineers the best support we can. Life’s roughest storms prove the strength of our anchors. A sailor is not defined by how many seas he has sailed but by how many storms he has overcome.

Christmas and New Year are fast approaching although the season that we’re all used to will not be the same due to the pandemic, a situation of so many uncertainties. Many of us have wished to be at home with families this holiday season. But with still so many countries closing their borders, flights being cancelled, stricter restrictions after the new Omicron virus had started to spread out, this wish remains a wish for now.

With all these difficulties, let us hope that the Christmas spirit will still reign in our hearts and hope that 2022 will be a better year for everyone.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Healthy New Year.

“REASON FOR THE SEASON”

The advent season engenders in the  hearts of men the incarnation’s fullest meaning. For this reason, even if we pause long enough to recall the birth of Christ; we can still stop and reflect on the significance of God becoming human for the rest of

This year has been difficult for all of us, but we cling to hope. That amidst all the confusion and fear that the pandemic has brought, God is with us. May God continue to have room in our hearts, our lives reflect Christ’s presence, and our homes radiate God’s peace.

picture21Reihou

Though we are far away from home this Christmas braving the winds far across the seas, we are all wishing you a happy yuletide! Although life has become affected amidst this time of COVID, we still hope that the true meaning of Christmas will stay within our hearts. We all hope to share the spirit of giving, and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

From all of us aboard M.V. Reihou, we are sharing to you our glorious joy of bearing each other’s burdens in life that has become the magic of this holiday season.

RMC Altair

Christmas is fast approaching, the most awaited season and as the song goes “The most wonderful time of the year” and just like all the people who eagerly anticipate this special season, we onboard RMC Altair feels the same excitement.

Preparations for Christmas and New Year’s Eve apparently became one of the topics on each of our onboard meetings. From Christmas decors to gifts, as well as caroling and party programs allpicture22 are being planned in advance. Indeed all of us are excited for Christmas. Though far from home and from our family, we cope up by considering our ship as our second home and each other as our second family. We believe that we can still enjoy this season and end this year on a positive note by being grateful for all the blessings God has given us even in the midst of this pandemic. The blessing of family, work, good health and safety are just some of it. We are also thankful for the gift of technology nowadays for it enables us to join and be a part of the celebration with our loved ones back at home and share the joy and laughter with them virtually.

Celebrating Christmas on board is not bad after all, for it gives us some space from the typical Christmas rush back at home and leads us back to appreciate another year of the Lord’s favor with the anticipation of another wonderful year to come.

Here onboard RMC Altair, we remember the true meaning of Christmas by giving emphasis and love on what we do and our jobs as well as enjoying each other’s company not just for this season but also for the remaining days of our stint onboard.

Merry Christmas everyone and a happy New Year 2022!

RMC Rigel

We are already accustomed to being miles away from our family and friends during the holiday season, but the feeling remains the same. The separation with our loved ones is really painful but this is a distinct trait of our profession that we must continue to bear. As we sail across the 7  seas,   loneliness  is unavoidable. Undoubtedly, during this time of the year which is considered to be a season when we can share love and feel family warmth, not being at home is already hard but it gets more complex as we celebrate Christmas in the time of pandemic for second year in a row.

picture23Some contracts are still overdue. Shore leave is still restricted. Heightened safety measures and health protocols are strictly enforced. These are just some of the burdens that crew would have to carry on their shoulders.

But our celebration of Christmas should not be dampened by this COVID-19! Let us spread more hope, peace, joy and love this season. Let us all be reminded that Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values.

And this is where the RMC Rigel crew is reminded of the birth of our Savior. The Christmas story is one of simplicity. Our Lord and savior were born in a manger with only his mother and father. His guests were shepherds, a few animals and the three magi. It is a heart-warming reminder of the true reason of the season. This year is a great challenge to all of us, but still we are all hoping that amidst all the confusion and fear that the pandemic has brought, God is with us, has always been and always will be. Jesus is the light of the world!

We are grateful to MMSM for always providing Christmas and New Year’s allowance to celebrate a sumptuous feast and for the free internet connection on board to bridge the gap and feel closer to our loved ones even if we are miles away from them.

May the baby Jesus continue to have room in our hearts and our lives reflect Christ’s presence. With an abundance of faith, hope and love, may we all get through this crisis together. “Christmas is not just a few hours of celebration but a lifelong demonstration of good deeds to each other. It is for everyone, young or old, rich or poor, we are all entitled to equal moments of joy. Showing our love and good will to everyone is the true meaning and spirit of Christmas.”

Wishing a Merry COVID-free Christmas and Happy New Year to All!!

Southern Cross Dream

Despite the difficulties that we have been facing due to the coronavirus pandemic, now is one of the most important times to take a few moments to appreciate the true meaning of Christmas andpicture25 what makes it so magical and joyous. May this yuletide season remind us of each and everyone’s strength, light and hope. We are all in this together and we will get through these challenging times. Holiday cheers to everyone!

Christmas season is just around the corner, it’s the time of the year wherein mixed emotions are felt by every one of us. Happiness fills our hearts brought forth by this festive season, and at the same time sadness because another Christmas is to be celebrated onboard, away from our loved ones. Despite these trying times due to the new normal, there are still plenty of things to be thankful for such as being healthy and enjoying the blessings life has to offer. To celebrate another Christmas with the family we have onboard is a great gift that has been given to us by Our Lord God. Merry Christmas and may this coming New Year be more prosperous and healthy to us all.

Tenso

As we feel the cold breeze on our cheeks and hear the children’s carols, let’s celebrate this yuletide season by surrounding ourselves with love, peace and joy. And let’s gather the fragments of yesterday to make a better tomorrow.

From MN Tenso, we extend our greeting in celebration of a joyful Christmas and prosperous New Year.

The Christmas season is here and the end of the year 2021 is fast approaching. With proper guidance from MMSM management, shore and onboard personnel collaborated teamwork, safety culture, a healthy mind and body, we can achieve what we are bound to do onboard until this year ends, which is ensuring safe operation of our vessels. May this Christmas end the present year on a cheerful note and make way for a fresh and bright new year. Vega Dream

“The celebration of Christmas aboard vessels around the globe amidst the COVID 19 pandemic.”

Throughout the world, seafarers onboard their respective vessels have their unique way of celebrating Christmas despite cultural differences. We couldn’t agree more that Christmas indeed is the most wonderful time of the year. You get to feel the exhilarating thrill of opening gifts, cooking sumptuous dishes for everyone to enjoy, listening to children’s carols that serenade the evening, watching those fancy lights play with your eyes and even get to reconcile with old acquaintances. These were the things we got to do before the pandemic happened.picture27

Onboard a ship with aberrant schedules, we were sometimes unable to celebrate it on the day itself but, the essence of the season still resonates in each of us. On the night before Christmas, every one of us would help and prepare a bountiful feast to welcome the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While we may not have access to shops for us to buy lavish gifts for our crewmates, we always see to it that we somehow are able to give something, a token of appreciation whether personally handcrafted because of your creative juices or something you bought would do. It’s the thought that counts and the cost, the size or the looks is not important.

The world has been in a pandemic since early 2020 and yet, it is still difficult for us to resume our normal lives. It is quite sad that we cannot celebrate it with our beloved ones ashore, but we still get to feel the same warmth onboard because we have our second “FAMILY”, the crew of MV Vega Dream— we have each other to uplift our morale, enliven our spirit and ease burdens off especially in these trying times.

On behalf of all the crew members of MV Vega Dream, we extend our warmest felicitations to all of you ashore and to our fellow seafarers who are currently onboard. May we find peace every day and happiness in every situation. Calm winds and favorable seas ahead.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

Warramboo

As a Seafarer, a son, a Husband and a father there will be no greater Christmas Gift for us than to see our family is safe, sound and happy. Even though we’re not there to witness the Christmaspicture28 happenings and celebration of New Year, we will always be delighted deep inside our hearts knowing that our sacrifices mean something more valuable than any other gift in the world could offer.

Christmas will always be in our Hearts despite the hardships we experienced amidst pandemic crisis. Though challenges arise because of the pandemic, this taught us to continue striving and keep on moving forward for our loved ones.

As the famous quote shared by Mother Teresa “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving”, let us spread the love by sharing and reflecting on the countless blessings we’ve received throughout the year.

We appreciate the support of the MOL family that is always ready to help us in our needs as well as to our own families.

We wish you all a meaningful CHRISTMAS and a PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2022!
