21st One Day Workshop
MMSM 21st One Day Workshop was held last May 11, 2017 at Roberts Hall, Times Plaza Bldg. UN cor. Taft Ave. Malate Manila. This was the first
workshop conducted for this year 2017. The theme for this event is “Enhancing Safety Culture through Effective Communication” focusing on the topics and discussion on vessel safe operation and improving crew performance on day to day activities onboard. It was attended by the Senior Officers, Junior Officers, and Ratings who was on vacation, Guest Speakers from MOL Cape Singapore (Mr. Takuya Sakamoto), Dry Bulk Carrier Supervising Office MOL Asia Oceania (Capt. Mukesh Kumar Singh), MOL Dry Bulk Business Unit (Capt. Shigeru Usami) as well as invited guest speaker from supplier PPG Protective and Marine Coating (Mr. Rhay Toledo) provided an informative presentations and latest updates with regards to safety operation.
MMSM continue to organize One Day Workshop for the reason that it help the participants to gain new knowledge, be updated on the latest trends and issues on the shipping industry, exchanges of ideas and concerns, identify problems and solutions, and build a rapport working relationship between seafarers
and ship managers towards achieving the MMSM Goal, forge ahead to become the World leader in Safe Operation, 4 Zeroes (Zero Fatal accident Zero serious Maritime Incident, Zero Oil pollution, Zero Cargo Damage).
